Who are we ?

Above all, we've been Newfoundland dogs enthusiasts for over 18 years.
We both have professionnal activities, and don't count on the breeding for a living. We conduct our breeding in respect of race and our main motto is respect and honesty towards each one.
We select our origins in order to be as close as possible to the ideal.
Knowing that the perfect dog does not exist. We try to adjust qualities and flaws as best we can, and according to our convictions.
Please be aware that our selection of origins means getting as close as possible to the ideal, that is to say a NEWFOUNDLAND standard, nice, healthy and beautiful, knowing that everything's relative because we don't all have the same taste and the same ideal.

The Story of the lamp :

At the beginnig of our couple life, we were looking for a lamp with a special look and texture. One day we found it, but the price asked for was too high, and we couldn't afford it. At the person's who was selling this lamp, there was a big black dog on a balcony, looking sad. Talking with the lady, she told us that if we wanted we could take her away with us, because they had to live abroad. We looked at each other, really longing to take her away. My husband told me "Let's take her". I answered we had to think it over, and couldn't decide on a whim. A day after we returned to fetch "Polka".
And that was the beginnig of our passion.

Polka got quickly accustomed to us, and this wonderful dog was our companion for many years, then she left us.

We were very afflicted, and didn't want an other dog, we felt it was like betraying our story with her.
We thought that having an other dog meant we wanted to replace her.
Then 6 months passed, and we were always missing her.

One day after looking at the newspaper we saw an ad "Newfoundland puppies on sale", we decided to call, the puppies were all reserved, we told the lady our story and asked if we could go and see them anyway. She agreed but stated again that we couldn't have one, because they were all sold. We answered alright, but can we come nevertheless, just to have a look at them. We have been very well received, they were nice people who loved their dogs before all. We discussed at length many points mede us closer. We set our heart on a male puppy, perhaps a way of not replacing Polka. The people decided to cancel a sale and told us they thought the puppy would be better off with us than with the people who had reserved it. What joy. A new companion at home "HELIOT".
We made friends with these people who introduced us to the owner of our puppy's father. Mr Joel EVENO, very nice person who has learned much about Newfoundland dog and we set foot in the stirrup. He allowed us to buy TOPSY'S ROSEMARY BABY (Rose), a Fantastic dog on all grounds, became Champion of France in 1997 and who set us on this PASSION/MADNESS ! ! !
Our breeding place bears her name "Rose'Wanted", to pay her homage.
